If you are a business and would like to help in a different way, there are a few ways you can do so. Before lockdown, we had two companies who sponsored a salary for volunteers.
Contact us here. Messages checked at weekends but maybe checked throughout the week as time allows.
Sponsor a salary - UK
What we are looking for are companies to sponsor a minimum of FIVE-TEN hours per week or whatever you wish to offer for one of our volunteers at Minimum Wage. This would mean you would add them to your payroll. They may claim in-work benefits if they are entitled to them.
The other thing to note is that another company may at some point sponsor a salary for a person already sponsored. This means tax codes and tax may change.
Our aim is to get those volunteers who are unable to work a conventional job a 15-25 hour week minimum wage salary sponsored. Most of which will be used towards the projects.
Sponsor a salary - Other Countries
For companies outside of the UK, who would like to sponsor a salary, we can invoice you at UK Minimum wage rate in GBP. We will also print your currency using the Exchange Rate on the day the invoice is raised.
Regular Contribution - Any Country
Instead of the above, you could make a regular contribution to us equal to a salary or any value you wish directly to the project you wish to support, using the payment links on the contribution page for the project. If you choose this option, then the funds will be used for the project and will not help us personally.
We are not a charity
Please note that we are not a registered charity in any country. We are currently operating as an Unincorporated Association. We may at some point have to register as a small business if contributions reach a certain level. If this happens we will still volunteer and no salaries will be taken. We just want you to know so you know how to log that in your accounting system. Contributions made may not be tax deductable.
