The Great Pub Survival

Saving Pubs where we can. Upcycling them where we can't

What can we do?

What do you do with a Small Town that has a lot of pubs on a small stretch of road? Has 6 restaurants? Has a lot more takeaways and coffee shops? Most of the pubs, restaurants and clubs are boarded up. It looks a mess and leaves a bad "kerb appeal".

Bad kerb appeal will drive people away from the area especially those who are thinking to do Business. This can cause a ripple effect where small, local businesses have to pack up or raise their prices then are no longer able to compete. The once busy town which had a high footfall because of the pub culture now becomes a ghost town with people just driving to local chain store or ordering delivery from a large fast-food retailer.

We need to find a way to diversify "The Pub", "The Restaurant", "The Bar" and other closed-down places to bring back a community feel to the local area to make it attractive for business to trade and for other trades to do business next door or over the otherside of the road.

Together we can do it, but it would be impossible if this work was done through traditional loan and finance services. Please click here to read about our diversity plans.
